Gardens of the Alhambra

Embark on a journey through the Alhambra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which draws thousands of tourists each year. Nestled against a backdrop of mountains, this castle-like complex boasts palaces, unique views of Granada, and lush gardens.
We will meet at the Generalife promenade (Fuente del Pimiento) to start this free tour around the Alhambra. While we won’t enter any of the palaces within the complex, we will stroll around its perimeter to uncover some stories and legends from the famed Andalusian era.

We will circle the fortress walls and pass by the Tower of the Seven Floors. Ever wondered why it’s called that? You’ll find out on this tour.

Our path continues through Las Placetas where we’ll see the Church of Santa Maria de la Alhambra and the old Taberna del Polinario, exploring their past during the Andalusian period.

We’ll proceed through the Justice Gate and delve into the Alhambra’s forest, filled with horse chestnuts, shade bananas, and acacias, where we’ll continue to explore the site’s stories and legends.

Our journey concludes at the Gate of the Pomegranates, from where we can view the imposing Bermejas Towers atop the hill. We’ll finish our tour in the bustling Plaza Nueva.
